A Visual Journey
For UMSL's image making class, students compiled over 100+ images using a variety of materials and techniques such as photography, lego printing, ink, projection, and collage. My book's theme was centered around containers; what can be contained within a cup, a box, a photograph, a memory.
There is so much encompassed in a moment or an idea, so the challenge was how to visually portray such a broad concept. Through my pages, I worked to capture the concept using traditional imagery like cups and glasses, and less literal imagery by exploring texture, color, and repetition.
